[ CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - The University of North Carolina student body president was found shot to death on a city street in what police said Thursday appeared to be a random crime, stunning the campus community who knew her well.
The Wolfpack Club, N.C. State University's fundraising organization for athletic scholarships and facility enhancements, will arrive with its "Red, White and You" Coaches Caravan in Sylva, N.C., on Thursday, March 6, at 6:30 p.m. at Bogart's Restaurant.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- A storm system is bringing heavy rain to southwestern North Carolina, and forecasters say the system is expected to move across the state. The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for western North Carolina. The watch is in effect until 7 p.m.
