Clover Hill High School could still be home to students after it closes in 2010. Instead of knocking down the old building, some School Board members want to turn it into a middle school.

Akron High School's Marching Band, directed by Mark Flynn, will perform Monday in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in New York City. The band, which will step off at about 3:45 p.m., will play “Give My Regards to Broadway,” “I'm Looking Over a Four-Leaf Clover” and “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling,” as it wends its way up Fifth Avenue.
Forget about shamrocks for a moment. There's another leafy green plant ideal for celebrating the upcoming St. Patrick's Day holiday. And it tastes a whole lot better than any three-leaf clover.
